PASSAGES, Inc. Prevention Programs The Prevention Education Team at PASSAGES, Marlene Austin and April Swauger, only occasionally are able to be a presence in their offices. This actually is a good thing. This means that on most days, they are busy presenting educational programs to all ages on different topics surrounding the issues of sexual violence. Together, April and Marlene present an average of 800 programs per year to over 15,000 people. Many people are surprised of the many varieties of program options that are available for their school, church, business, or community group. Below is a list of programs available free of charge to our communities in Clarion, Clearfield, and Jefferson Counties: Pre-K - Grade 4 t Safe/Unsafe Touches (Grades K-4) t Carefree Kids Puppet Show (Pre-K, - Grade 1) t BABES (Beginning Awareness Basic Education Studies (Grades 1,2) m An 8 lesson puppet series. t "R U Chatting with Danger?" (Internet Safety - Grade 4) Grades 5 and 6 t "Sexual Abuse: What is it?" (Grade 6) t Peer Sexual Harassment (Grades 5,6) m Can incorporates "Sexting" and Cyberbullying issues t "Internet Predators: R U Chatting with Danger?" (Internet Safety - Grades 5 , 6) t "Cyberbullying: Crossing The Line…Drawing The Line" (Grades 5, 6) Grades 7 to 12 t "Sexual Violence: 101 (Grades 7 - 12) t Date/Acquaintance Rape (Grades 9 - 12) t Statutory Sexual Assault (Usually done with above two programs) t Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault (Grades 11 - 12) t "Internet Predators: Hidden Dangers of the Internet" (Grades 7-12) t P.A.C.T. ("Promoting Awareness of the College Transition") (Grade 12) m A series done by university students to educate high school seniors who will be attending college about sexual violence, healthy relationships, "Red Zone", and Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault. (Programs dependent on the availability of university educators) t Peer Sexual Harassment (grades 7-9) t "Sexting" (Grades 7 - 12) t "Cyberbullying: Crossing The Line…Drawing The Line" (Grades 7 - 12) t "Safe Dates" (Grades 9 - 12, beginning Fall 2011) Post High School/Community t Mandated Reporting Trainings t "Sexual Violence: 101 - What is it really?" t P.A.C.T. "Promoting Awareness of the College Transition" m This is a 20-hour peer educational training for college students to educate high school/college students about sexual violence, healthy relationships, "Red Zone", and Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault.
