As a human service agency dealing with issues of sexual violence, PASSAGES, Inc. becomes involved in particularly private and personal areas of people's lives. We are committed to respecting the privacy and integrity of those whom we serve and to keeping to the fullest extent possible, all aspects of their relationship with us confidential. We consider this ethic to apply to anyone who seeks our help in any form, whether or not she/he is formally registered as a client. Information will be released only with the informed, written consent of the client or according to the exceptions described elsewhere in this policy. All agency staff, volunteers (direct service and non-direct service) and board members are required to sign the confidentiality agreement, maintain the confidentiality of agency records and adhere to this confidentiality policy. Any violation of this policy will be considered grounds for immediate termination of that person's relationship with PASSAGES, Inc. |
